Reptile and Animal Extravaganza

The United States Association of Reptile Keepers, better known as USARK, is a science, education and conservation-based advocacy group, promoting responsible private trade and ownership of reptiles and amphibians. USARK endorses caging standards, sound husbandry, escape prevention protocols, and an integrated approach to vital conservation issues.

 Midwest Expos echoes these endorsements in every Animal Extravaganza and Reptile Show with clean venues, responsible vendors and ethically bred or sourced animals; as well as up to date caging and husbandry supplies, and healthy feeders. 

USARK's goal is to facilitate cooperation between government agencies, the scientific community, and the private sector in order to produce policy proposals that will effectively address important husbandry and conservation issues. The health of the animals, public safety and maintaining ecological integrity are our primary concerns.  

To help with this goal, Midwest Expos graciously donates a table to every Animal Extravaganza and Reptile Show for USARK to not only help inform the general public with updates within the herpetological community, but also garner donations to send directly to USARK. These cash donations can be made during our silent auctions or by purchasing USARK merchandise, when available. You can also make a cash donation to our donation container found at our USARK tables.

 However, we always encourage our patrons to go to usark.org.
